Well-known lawyer Muhammet Çankıran, who died in London on March 26, 2020, will be commemorated on 30 June.
Çankıran will be commemorated at the Trent Park Cemetery in North London, where he was buried, on 30 June at 16:00.
Following the cemetery, the commemoration will continue between 19-21 at the İAKM-Cemevi at 19 Clarendon Rd, London N8 0DD.
His friend Faruk Eskioğlu said: “Our writer, brother, comrade, precious, intellect, smiling face, joy, and joy Muhammet Çankıran was born on June 30, 1964. Muhammet Çankıran did not leave us with his farewell on March 26 (2020). He lives with us… We remember him with longing and respect. Çankıran was a very good writer as well as a good lawyer. His absence is a great loss for society and country.”
Eskioğlu said, “Let me also announce that Zerrin Çankıran has published the writings of her husband and the comments of her friends.” He continued, “I hope to meet Çankıran’s friends and clients, whose hearts he touched, on this special day.”
