Kartal elected head Ascot Fashion Committee

THIS year, Zeynep Kartal has been elected as the Fashion Committee President of The Royal Ascot, which is the symbol of a tradition of more than 300 years in England. Turkish fashion designer Kartal, living in England, will participate in The Royal Ascot Horse Races on June 2.

The British magazine Royal Ascot Style Guide, published under the headings of sustainability and art, announced Kartal new role with a front cover dedicated to her.

Kartal is the first Turkish designer to be elected as the president of the fashion board. Kartal will be undertaking the role to ensure the sustainability of The Royal Ascot clothing traditions is front and centre of this year’s event, working with talents across the country in the process.

Prepared a guide with inspiring clothing recommendations for the participants in the organization in June, also shared the dress themes in detail.

The Turkish designer also provided special training to the finalists of The Royal Ascot Fashion Competition, to which young talents applied as part of the event this year. Kartal, who will mentor the young talent determined at the end of the competition for 1 year, will also participate in the event to be held in June by preparing a special design with the chosen name.

Saying: “I am proud to be the first Turkish fashion board president in a tradition that has been going on for nearly 300 years. Another important aspect of this formation is to open the way for young fashion designers and to stand by them in their career journeys with our experience… We are excited to bring new talents to the fashion world in this platform where we have undertaken special works with young talents in England. I am also pleased to introduce young talents to him at the event we will be with Queen Elizabeth II in June.”
