Man arrested for murder assearch for missing woman in north London continues

Police are continuing to search for a young woman who went missing 11 days ago in north London.

A 63-year-old man, from North Acton, arrested on suspicion of Agnes Akom’s murder and false imprisonment remained in hospital on Thursday with self-inflicted injuries sustained while in custody.

Ms Akom, 20, also known as Dora, is a Hungarian national. She is believed to have been a sex worker and has been living in the UK for five years. She left her home in Cricklewood Broadway on the morning of Sunday, May 9, and was reported missing two days later.

Ms Akom is approximately 5ft 5in tall with blonde hair and was wearing a white coat, ripped light blue jeans, and pink trainers.

Officers were searching parks near Ms Akom’s home. Detective Chief Inspector Neil John, leading the investigation, said: “There are serious concerns for Agnes’ safety and it is our priority to find her as soon as possible.”
