Retired ambassador Onur Öymen will be guest of honour at a spectacular ball to mark the 91st anniversary of the Republic of Turkey.
The Federation of Turkish Associations in the UK (ITDF) will hold the event at the Grand Palace Banqueting Suite in Wood Green on Friday 31 October, two days after the independence anniversary.
In an invitation to all members of the Turkish-speaking communities, the federation said: “Come and let us together carry awareness of the Republic, which many have tried to forget in recent times, and the joy of the anniversary to new heights. Let us show that we are protectors of our Republic. Let us feel the depth and importance of our great day.”
