Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab met with TRNC President Ersin Tatar
The UK’s Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab was in Cyprus meeting with officials in the South and North Of the island.
On Thursday afternoon Raab met with The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TNRC), President Ersin Tatar.
Following the meeting, Raab said on social media: “The UK continues to engage ahead of proposed informal talks on #Cyprus Settlement led by
@antonioguterres. Today I met with Turkish Cypriot leader @Ersinrtatar to urge flexibility ahead of the talks for the benefit of both Cypriot communities.”
Prior to his visit today(February 4) Raab also held a phone with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu yesterday sharing the same message and calling flexibility ahead of the talks.
This morning he held meeting with official in the south once again echoing the message of flexibility.
