BORN and raised in the UK, a young and talented actor and comedy sketch writer, Kaya Sarı, has become a social media phenomenon.
The 17-year-old, who makes thousands of people laugh with his voices and comedy sketches on his social media accounts, is especially known for his “Mr Ali” sketches.
Sarı, who has 10 thousand followers on his Instagram account and 120 thousand on TikTok, spoke to Londra Gazete about his social media journey:
‘‘ My social media phenomenon started during the first quarantine period, it was a period when we were all at home and dealing with different fields. I also made a bet between a conversation with my friends, we all joked about who would be on social media. I started out by producing different contents and then I wrote and played sketches with the father figure of ‘Mr Ali’, which I formed from the Turkish speaking community. I’ve reached thousands of followers on Instagram and TikTok in a short time. One of my clips was watched by 8.5 million people, but it was removed due to technical problems and when I shared it. Social media is the most popular platform of our age, so I wanted to use it in the most useful and effective way. I was inspired by names such as ‘Hamza Production’, ‘ManLikeHaks’ and ‘Mr Bean’ as I stepped into this journey. ”
Our young entrepreneur, whom many know as ‘Mr Ali’, has succeeded in making thousands of people laugh by writing and playing comedy sketches inspired by the life of an immigrant father in the Turkish-speaking society in England. Kaya, who became famous with the discourse of “Bek in my village” (In my village), created his own clothing brand, along with his logo and slogan, products such as hoodies, t-shirts and hats are available on bigboyklothing.com
Sarı, who completed his barber course in addition to the social media phenomenon, looking forward his plans:‘‘ My goal in the coming years is to create barber chains, I aim to create successful barber in order to provide the best and comprehensive service by improving myself because of a job I love. In addition, I want to publish a documentary about my own life. I even believe that I can create something nice with the “Mr. Ali” character. ”
Explaining what kind of difficulties he faced as a young man living in London, Sarı stated that people do not support each other enough. He said : ‘‘ Young people should especially get together and support each other, there are many young entrepreneurs, it is very important that we all support each other. We are all going through a difficult process, we must show unity and solidarity in such a period. My advice to young people, keep chasing your dreams and don’t let anyone stand in your way. Never let criticism or negative comments prevent you, do not stop believing in yourself and be positive despite all negativity and hold onto life. ”
