THIS week the UK marked a sad milestone in the pandemic with now over 100,000 deaths from coronavirus.
As the news of death keeps increase and within the Turkish Speaking Community the news that more and more members are fall victim to Covid-19 kept coming.
43 more known lives were lost in the last 7 days. The sad news of the passing was shared to Londra Gazete, including those lost who has lost their lives are Akile Işın and 37-year-old Eren Esentepe.
A father of one, Eren Esentepe lost his life on Wednesday 27 January after spending a month in ICU he was not known to have any health conditions.
Of the known 43 deaths, 34 are from the Turkish Cypriot background and 9 originate from Turkey.
To date based on the information Londra Gazete has collected since the start of the pandemic the total known deaths in the Turkish Speaking Community has now reached 322, of this total 257 are from a Turkish Cypriot background and 65 originate from Turkey.
Since the start of the year, the number of known Turkish Cypriot that has passed way has increased by 115% and the number of deaths from those members originates from Turkey has near risen by nearly 40%.
