Triathlon athlete Ezel representing Great Britain 

TURKISH Cypriot Kamuran Ezel, born and raised in London has been was chosen to represent Great Britain in Italy this coming September.

Speaking to Londra Gazete Ezel a 38-year-old triathlon athlete, stated that he is very happy and proud to represent Great Britain in Italy in the European Championship and stated that he is closer to his goal.

After 14 years of primary school teaching, Ezel decided to change his career and pursue his hobby. Saying that cycling has been a big part of his life for many years, Ezel has opened a bicycle shop named “Kam Cogs” and offers various services such as bicycle maintenance, advice, assembly, and bicycle coach and turbo trainer setup.

Mentioning that ‘Kam’s Cogs’ was the turning point of his life, Ezel continued as follows: “After 14 years of teaching in primary school, I improved myself more and made it my job in a field that I am very passionate about. I have participated in various competitions in the last 9 years, I am doing what I love and I have come closer to my dream. We offer all kinds of services at Cam Cogs, you can follow us on our social media accounts. I love my job as a bicycle trainer, combining my hobby and work has been a difficult but right decision.”

Adding: “It is an indescribable feeling for me, that I have been selected for the competition that will take place in Italy, and it is a great pride to be among the top 20 people in my age group. I have worked steadfastly to represent Great Britain for several years and have finally achieved my goal. I want to crown my career in Italy. Ezel advised those who want to have a healthy and long life to turn to the bicycle saying ‘‘the bicycle, which relaxes the person psychologically, enables the entire muscular system to work at the same time. People who complain about their overweight are recommended to ride a bicycle. It is beneficial to make a habit of cycling, which increases body endurance.“
