Abdullah Nihat Yılmaz, a former trade unionist and program producer, writer and critic living in London, passed away due to Covid-19 at Whittington Hospital.
Jale Ozer, chair of the UK Atatürk Society, shared a condolence message upon Abdullah Nihat Yılmaz’s death:
‘‘The Turkish community lost their Abdullah brother. Unfortunately, we lost our brother, the light of our association, our friend, our Honorary Board Member, researcher, author, former trade unionist, TRT programmer and art critic, Abdullah Nihat Yılmaz. Our pain is immeasurable. He had a big heart, great history and was a true gentleman. He was in love with Turkey and was a true revolutionist.
As the UK Atatürk Society, we wholeheartedly share the pain of our brother Abdullah Yılmaz and share our deepest condolences with his family. It was an honour and a privilege to know Abdullah Yılmaz. We will always remember you with your smiling and promising revolutionary look. May your path be clear and your light abundant. “
