Handan Haktanır made the following statement about her new book: ‘‘Dear friends, I think you all know my passion for India. That passion led me to write a humble novel. My book is currently available on all sites selling books on the internet. I hope you read and enjoy it. I send my sincere love to you all and wish you healthy days.’’

The plot of the novel is briefly as follows: ‘‘Sanem, who is a teacher of archaeology at the university, is unhappy because of her unrequited love for her childhood friend Kaya and the fact that her mother, who lost her husband at a very young age, withdrew from life. The injustices, harassment and violence faced by women in almost every part of the world have led her to reflect on the present position of women who were once consecrated as mother goddesses and to study different societies and religions.”
