3 more members of the Turkish Speaking Community fall victim to Covid-19 

In the last week in 3 more members of the London’s Turkish Speaking Community fallen victim to coronavirus.

Speaking to the Londra Gazete, the President of Shacklewell Lane Turkish Mosque (UK Turkish Islamic Trust)Erkin Güney, and his mosque teacher, the President of the Cyprus Islamic Society, Hüseyin Haşim El Bakayi, reported two Turkish Cypriot men aged 69 and 70 living in London have lost their lives after contracting coronavirus.

The funeral director of the Süleymaniye Mosque, Muzaffer Bey, spoke to the Londra Gazete and gave information about those who died from Covid-19 in the Turkish-speaking community.

The Süleymaniye Mosque, the funeral director Muzaffer said in the past this week, a 69-year-old woman originating from Turkey, has died of coronavirus. It was stated that the body of our 69-year-old community member was sent to Aksaraya.

Since the start of the pandemic, the known numbers of Turkish Cypriots lost their lives because of coronavirus has reached 105 and the known numbers of members of the community originating from Turkey has risen to 43 members. taking the overall number of members lost from the community to 148.
