Three people are believed died in a multiple stabbed at a hotel which has been called a major incident in Glasgow city centre.
A police officer is among several people who have been injured as in being treated in hospital.
Scottish Police have confined that the suspected, a male has been shot by armed officers.
Armed police have sealed off West George Street and paramedics in hazmat suits were seen treating a person on a blood-stained pavement.
In a statement by the great Glasgow police, they said: “Emergency services are currently dealing with an incident on West George Street in Glasgow. The street is currently closed off and the public are asked to avoid the area at present. The situation is contained at this time and there is no danger to the general public.”
