The ‘London Helping Angels’, known to be established to support the Turkish speaking community and specifically cancer patients, recently made a meaningful donation to the Cancer Patient Assistance Association (KHYD).
With the initiative of the London Helping Angels Chair Aydin Hassan and committee members, nine crutches, nine walking frames, one bathroom chair, two wheels chairs, boxes of clothes, and packed diapers were donated to the Cancer Patient Assistance Association in North Cyprus.
In a statement made to our newspaper, London Helping Angels Chair Aydin Hassan stated that six walking frames and a wheelchair were donated by the Limassol Association. Hassan also noted a mobility scooter and wheelchair would be donated for cancer patients from the European Disability Association Chair, Poyraz Veysel.
Hassan made the following statement, “The epidemic around the world has affected us all for a long period of time. For this reason, as the London Helping Angels, we gave a break to our work for a while, but within the framework of the normalisation process, we wanted to continue to where we left and make a small contribution to cancer patients. Thus, we donated to the Cancer Patients Association, which has been operating in Northern Cyprus for many years. Under normal circumstances, as the London Helping Angels, we tend to provide such aids at least once a month.
We would like to thank our businesspersons Bilal Hüseyin and Turgay Ayanoğlu who donated clothes in a very good condition as always, also like to thank Limassol Association, European Disability Association, and our community members for making donations. We are massively grateful to the Euromed family, Hasan Gazi and Hüseyin Gazi, who always support the Turkish Cypriot community and helped us deliver our donations to North Cyprus.
