Londra Gazete’s columnist İsmail Kemal has passed away

Londra Gazete’s columnist İsmail Kemal has passed away today (1 June).

A columnist for Londra Gazete since it was established in 2001, it with great sadness that we share the news of his passing.

After a battle with cancer, he sadly passed away in South Cyprus.

Reaching our readers with his pieces featured in our newspaper and online weekly under the title “Düşünüyorum” (I’m thinking) until early this year.

Dr Ismail Kemal was an international relations specialist, academician and columnist. 

One of the founders of the Cypriot Student and Youth Federation (KÖGEF)  – Dr Kemal lived in the south of Cyprus, where he taught at the University of Cyprus in the Department of Turkish and Middle Eastern Studies.
