The Atatürk Society UK (ASUK) will be celebrating May 19th the Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day with a special live program.
The program will be starting live tomorrow (Tuesday 19 May) at 7 pm on Zoom with the ASUK inviting all those who wish to join in for the special program to do so.
With special talks and musical performances for a number of special guests the event, this year’s celebrations will be live and accessible from the program zoom at home due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In a statement from the ASUK board members, they said “One of the most important features of a nation being a nation is that it has a common history and a common destiny. The people of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s leadership in against the imperialist powers of the period of May 19, 1919, or have initiated the War of Independence and Freedom or Death understanding, has created a miracle by showing great military success on August 30, 1922, and appeared to have a homeland.
The Atatürk Society UK this year, we will celebrate our 19 May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day live with our people in the digital environment due to the coronavirus pandemic.
