Another 888 patients have died in hospitals in the UK after testing positive for coronavirus.
The UK has the fifth highest death toll in the world from COVID-19, which originated in China late last year.
The total number of deaths in the UK has now reached 15,464.
Some 150,000 people have died worldwide.
