The Department for Health and Social Care has announced in its daily update on testing and figures on coronavirus, that in a 24 hour period between the 30 March and the 31 March 563 more people have died after contracting coronavirus.
In the previous update, it was confirmed that as of 5pm on 30 March 1,789 had passed away.
The figures announced today are the highest daily death rate so far in the UK.
From the Turkish Speaking Community, 29 known people have passed away after contracting the virus.
UPDATE on coronavirus (#COVID19) testing in the UK:
As of 9am 1 April, a total of 152,979 people have been tested of which 29,474 tested positive.
