Iftar dinner was given by Turkish Religious Foundation Mosque

An Iftar dinner was given by the Turkish Religious Foundation Mosque (Türk Diyanet Vakfı) on Saturday, May 11 in Hornsey, London.

The Iftar dinner was given by The Turkish Religious Foundation mosque on Saturday at their centre in Hornsey saw over 100 people gather together to break their fasting.

As the month of Ramadan started on Sunday 5 May, iftar so dinner has been taking place across the world, the organised iftar dinner by the Turkish Religious Foundation Mosque saw a number of people in attendance, the Turkish Ambassador for London Ümit Yalçın the Turkish consul Ergin Çınar, Counsellor for Religious Services Mahmut Özdemir,

TNRC London Consul Ülkü Alemdar and many members of the community in London joined together.

The annual Ifter dinner saw people from different parts of the society came together. Opening and greeting speeches were made by the London Religious Services Consultant and the President of the Turkish Religious Foundation, Mahmut Özdemir. Özdemir expressed his gratitude for joining the community at such an important time as iftar time and thanked everyone who attended.

A short speech was also made after the Iftar meal by London Ambassador Umit Yalcin,
“I wish that the month of Ramadan will be spent with the blessing and peace for the whole Muslim world and for our nation.” he said.
