The Association of Turkish Women in Britain (BTKD) continued activities of civil society organizations active in LONDON, BTKD along with several countries, including Turkey celebrated “Mother’s Day” in May, the organized a dinner for members and friends.
The Dinner given at the Turkish restaurant called Ishtar, including Turkish London Consul General Cinar his wife Deniz Ergin and Embassy First Counselor Cem Işık along with his wife Selva Işık, Vice-Consul Gülcan Ökçün and TRNC London Official Representative Consul Dilşad Şenol was also found among the guest that attended.
BTKD Chairman Servet Hassan and Board Members: Funda Aksanoğlu, Mihrişah Safa, Itır Sökmen, Sevgül Özkor and Deniz Harput hosted the dinner and guests had fun with the music played by well-known musician Hakan Bilal.
In her speech, Hassan thanked the guests and members of the Mother’s Day Dinner for their support and assistance so far. Hassan emphasized that in 17 years since the establishment of BTKD, they have helped countless educational institutions and especially weekend schools that provide education in Turkish language and culture in London.
Hassan, spoke Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s mother Zübeyde they Lady of Mercy and thankfully commemorating celebrates all mothers day and called Consul General Cinar Ergin to say a few words.
Ergin expressed his gratitude for expressing his gratitude for the presence of BTKD in such a meaningful day in his speech which celebrated the mothers’ day and expressed his appreciation for the work of BTKD.
Speaking later, Consul Ökçün emphasized the importance of becoming a member of non-governmental organizations and said they were pleased to see the size of the women’s support.
Finally, the first representative of the TRNC in London, Dilşad Şenol, emphasized that the first event she attended since taking office four years ago was a mother’s day dinner held by BTKD, congratulated the group for their contributions.
With the music of Hakan Bilal, the well-known artist of the London stage, the guests enjoyed a joyful day with a rich prize draw.
