The Turkish Consulate General in London celebrated April 23 with a picnic for the children.
Hundreds of members of the community attended a picnic with their children on Sunday, April 28 at Hyde Park. Gathering together under the leadership of Consul General Çınar Ergin and his wife Deniz Ergin enjoyed themselves.
Following the performance of İnci Türk’s Drama Club, which was founded by the theatre actor İnci Türkay, under Aşık ve Maşuk in the show was presented by two students from Swindon Turkish School, and ‘Turkmen Girl’ show presented by three students from Portsmouth Turkish School was highly appreciated.
Picnic, painting, hat, kite and flag making, fairy tale expression, face painting, folk dance, traditional Turkish children’s games and football workshops were held.
Workshops were directed by Hilal Aktan, Nuray Aru, Hümeyra Bal, Eda Bayraktar, Özlem Belen Yüksel, Zeynep Cebeci Süvari, Kadir Çolakoğlu, Yalçın Demir, Akif Karakoç, Kübra Müjde, Bahar Özdemir, Ece Şentürk and Aysun Türkmen.
Participants who had a great day stated that they were very satisfied with such an event organized by the Consulate General.
The Turkish Consulate General expressed his thanks to all those who participated in the event and contributed to the event. All the children of the festive blessed, also in health and happiness to be always open ways.
