A Turkish national who could be separated from his Scottish-born children through deportation has appealed for help in his legal battle against the Home Office.

Tuğrul Keseli and his Scottish partner Lindsey Burke, both aged 29, met in the southern Turkish resort of Alanya in 2008. The couple now live together and have two children.

Mr Keseli, who comes from the village of Pazarcıklı near Kahramanmaraş and is known to his UK-based friends as “Tom”, has been living in Linwood for three years.

He said he met Ms Burke at the restaurant he runs in Alanya and, although they are not married, he argued they were a family.

Their youngest daughter, Mina Nisa Keseli, was born on 23 May.

A campaign has been launched to keep Mr Keseli in the country.

His partner has vowed to move with him back to Turkey if he is deported.
