THE opening date of the longest-running festival in the UK has been announced by Turkish-speaking community members.
It was announced that the Day-Mer Culture and Art Festival, which will be held for the 29th time this year, will start on Wednesday, June 6, with a reception. The Festival Committee, which has issued a statement about the reception to be held at the North London Community Centre, wishes that the festival, which has been held for many years, will be held for peace, success and friendship. The festival, which includes programs and events to bring together children, young people and adults, will be held with a reception on Wednesday, June 6, and end on Sunday 1 July with a frenzy park event.
