IN MANY European cities, various Afrin protests have been going on and the growing number of Afrin protests also saw over the past weekend two protests occurred in London and Manchester.
Whilst many demonstrations occurred in relation to Turkey’s operation against Afrin, protectors took to main train stations in London and Manchester train stations. Due to the protests, the Piccadilly station in Manchester and the King’s Cross Station in London witnessed almost three hours of delay.
As a result of the protests coinciding with Mother’s Day, it had caused many people fall victims to delays in journey times and the protests were highlighted in England national newspapers.
In the statement made by the group of Friends of Kurdistan about the events in Manchester, it was stated that their aim was to raise awareness for the on-going situation in Afrin.

Members of the Democratic Power Association will be coming together at Britain’s Alevi Federation on 14 March Wednesday evening for a press release on the on-going operation in Afrin. There was a great amount of participation.
