ÇANAKKALE Commemorative Platform (ÇAP), a memorial day for Martyrs on March 18th, and the 103rd anniversary of the Çanakkale Sea Victory.
In the statement made by ÇAP President Servet Hassan, “The Gallipoli Wars were won by the fact that all the elements of the Turkish nation, which regarded our ethnic and religious beliefs as a wealth, were capable of being the only soul, one heart and one wrist when it was defence of the country…
Our nationality has shown that it will move with the same spirit and consciousness in every situation where it faces the survival problem. As in the past, we are proud of our supreme spirituality, which has kept the spirit of Çanakkale, our national symbol today! ”
OUR MARTYRS GAVE THE WORLD A BIG LESSON
After the War of Independence and the republic of Turkey carried an important milestone for the victory of Çanakkale history in the statement, the following statements were given: “Our ancestors wrote a magnificent epic in Çanakkale where one of the most troubled wars in human history happened. On March 18, 1915, countries fighting against Turkey thought they can defeat the land in Çanakkale because they had a more advanced army than Turkey. On the morning of 25 April 1915 our glorious army gave a terrific defence against enemy forces under the command of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Pasha, beginning with the arrival of the enemy forces on the Gallipoli Peninsula and the eight months of land wars. The commands of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Ataturk gave the whole world a lesson on how to be a great commander in defence of homeland…
Today, our security forces are not afraid to be martyrs and veterans for the sake of defending their homeland. In the rightful struggle against terrorism, we are writing new heroic epics in our country and beyond our borders, waiting for our country, unity, and integrity of our countrymen and ensuring the safety of our citizens.
The most important task for us that we remember with respect and gratitude to our martyrs who entrusted us with this sacred homeland for the sake of their blood and their lives is to make our children aware of our glorious history and national values…
On the 103rd anniversary of the Çanakkale Victory, we are commemorating and thanking all our martyrs and veterans, especially the founder of our Republic, our great leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk..”
