SONGS and poems read in the event by Turkish school students in the UK were dedicated to Aşık Veysel.
London Education Counselor of the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Education and Culture Office in London due to the weekend studying and learning in school children was held this year on behalf of Aşık Veysel the poetry event.
The event started with a minute of silence and reading of the National Anthem. Bickley Turkish School, Dr Fazıl Küçük Turkish School, Portsmouth Turkish School, Grange Park Turkish School, Surrey Hülya Turkish School, Aziziye Mosque School, Religious Foundation Turkish School, Dr Tozun Isa Chesterfield Ataturk School, Northwest Turkish Community Turkish School, ICGM Margate, Southgate Atatürk School, Hornsey Atatürk School, Stoke On Trent Osmaniye Turkish School, West London Turkish School, Manchester Selimiye Turkish School and Ali Riza Degirmencioğlu Turkish School students attended and performed songs and poems.
At the end of the event, the students who participated were given congratulations. Aşık Veysel dedicated event was also attended by TRNC London Representative Zehra Başaran, TC London Embassy Education Consultant Hasan Ünsal, TRNC London Education and Cultural Attache Gülgün Ozcelik, England Turkish Language, Chairman of the Culture and Education Consortium Necmi Hasanoǧlu, Teachers and some families of the students also attended the event from Turkey and Northern Cyprus.
