18 March Çanakkale Victory

 

THE LAND wars between 25 April 1915- 8/9 January 1916 on the Gallipoli peninsula with a series of sea wars taking place in the Dardanelles between 3 November 1914 – 18 March 1915 are victory epics that fill the most honourable pages of Turkish history.

FREE SERVICE FOR MARTYRS FROM FTA-UK

FEDERATION of Turkish Associations (FTA-UK) announced that it will provide a free service to the memorial service to be held due to the 18 March Çanakkale Victory.

“The 18th Martyrs’ Day Ceremony organised by the London Embassy will be held on March 18th this Sunday at the Brookwood Turkish Air Cemetery (Cemetery Pales, Brookwood, Surrey, GU24 0BL).

For this ceremony, Federation of Turkish Associations will also rent a bus for our citizens this year and no fee will be charged for our participants. The bus will meet at the Haringey Council Civic Centre (High Road, Wood Green, London N22 8LE) on Sunday, March 18 at 11.45 pm and the bus will depart at 12.00.The program at Brookwood Turkish Air Cemetery will start at 15:00 and the program will take 30 minutes.”

PROF. ÇELİK WILL TALK ABOUT ÇANAKKALE

A program will be held by the European Union of Turkish Democrats (UETD-UK) to tell the history of the 18th March Dardanelles Victory. On Friday, March 16, at 19.00 at the Palmers Green Mosque, guests will be invited to a program which Dr. Mehmet Çelik will participate.
