Countdown to the Second London Turkish Theatre Festival begins

The program of the second London Turkish Theatre Festival, which has seen thousands of people waited impatiently, has been released. The festival will see 7 performances and 9 art workshops will meet with art lovers in England. The first step started in May 2017 by Turkish Theatre Festival held in London by recognised names Saray Karakuş and Ümit Baysal.

Information on the content and full program of the Theatre Festival, which will be held in April this year, continues to come. According to the statement, Turkey’s leading many names will participate in the London Turkish Theatre Festival. In a press conference in Istanbul the festival team stated that they were very excited and happy to meet with theatre lovers in London.

Festival producers Saray Karakuş has been working on theatre and art for the Turkish speaking community in England for the last 11 years. He explained that the games he wrote last year were more successful, and that the artistic work would be very beautiful between the two countries, and that it is very good to show that art is stepping towards people.

Ümit Baysal stated that he was very interested in Turkish theatre when he was in the theatre from the age of 8, when he was in England he had met with Karakuş and had a wonderful project. Baysal who is a director and makes short-films stated, films made in Turkey in recent years/film project said he finds them very successful and that he is going to surprise and be in a project himself. Baysal also said the excitement of the second theatre festival to be organised is increasing day by day and that they are already starting negotiations for the projects of the coming years.

The festival will be held in the last week of April. Rutkay Aziz, Füsun Demirel, Meltem Cumbul, Cezmi Baskın, Galip Erdal, Kemal Başar, Özgür Uğurlu, Eda Kandulu, Müfit Can Scarf, Belçim Bilgin, Tamer Levent, Savas Özdemir, Nevin Gülbahar, Yılmaz Öğüt and many artists and writers will attending. The festival will on 27, 28 and 29 April, at the Millfield Theatres.
