September– 2017

– One of the two most important festivals of the Islamic World, the Londoners wanted to celebrate the Feast of the Sacrifice in unity and togetherness. The Feast of the Sacrifice came together at a picnic organised by the Consulate General of London. In Manchester, a feast breakfast organised by the Turkish Community Center in North West England enabled citizens to come together.

– Enfield council food inspectors found nest of baby rats to be living in a patisserie called Turkish bakery called Tatlı Dünyası. The owner was ordered to pay a fine and close down the shop.

– Turkish Cypriot Ahmet Dobran, an 82-year-old Parkinson and cancer patient, was attacked by thieves.

– People’s Party Chairman Kudret Özersay and some party representatives made a visit to London and met with Turkish Cypriots at arraigned events.

– Several warehouses and workplaces were damaged in the fire at Safehouse Self-Storage in Tottenham.

– The well-known documentary producer Mehmet Aksoy, a Kurdish man living in the UK, lost his life in an attack in Syria by ISIS.

October – 2017

– Salih Ö who was found guilty of state aids and tax exemptions. He was ordered to pay £135,000 pounds in fine.

– Ahmet Şükrü, a wholesaler of red and white raw meat in South London, was sentenced to 4 months imprisonment and ordered to pay a fine of £53,760 for selling meat that passed it’s sold by date and threatening public health.

– Due to Muharrem Matemi, Muharrem Cemi was linked to AKM and Cemevi in Dalston. On the day of Ashura, lokma was distributed to some associations and institutions, especially Cemevi.

– Former President of the Turkish Society Football Federation and Enfield Councillor Turgut Esendağlı lost his life in the hospital where he was treated.
