Last Thursday, a big range of turnout by the Grenfell tower saw dozens gathering to remember the victims of the Grenfell tower.
Many local authorities, NGOs, charities attended the event to stay in solidarity with Grenfell, by also remarking important messages in hopes of such tragedy never happens again. Most of the speakers, from popes to local mosque imams, teachers to councillors, made important statements on staying unified.
“WE STAND BESIDE GRENFELL”
Amongst the organisations that supported the event, was Britain Alevi Federation. İsrafil Erbil, the President of BAF made a speech on standing in solidarity with Grenfell, by also remarking not forgetting the “weaknesses” that the UK Government has demonstrated.
“As Alevis, today we stand here in solidarity with you and all Grenfell victims. This heart breaking incident will never be forgotten and we can almost still hear the victims who sadly died in this terrible event. “
BAF, then carried on to a special prayer that was recited by Ali Dereli dedicated to the victims of Grenfell.
