Peckham Mosque organised its iftar meal on 18 June 2017 Sunday – by bringing many people together over prayers and good wishes.
Organised by Cyprus Şeyh Nazım Solidarity Chairty, the chairman of the charity Günay Veli opened up the evening by a welcoming speech as follows:
“We have been striving to enhance Peckham Mosque – throughout Ramadan, we gave iftar meals every evening along with organising special prayer sessions. All we want is to preserve our mosque as an equal place, without any political oppressions or bonds.”
Mr Veli also gave news on the upcoming new religious classes predicted to start off in September, suitable for everyone in every age. Mr Veli, in his speech also condemned the series of terrorist attacks took place in the UK.
