Whilst the increasing numbers of self-harming is worrying, some recent researches suggest that Turkish and Turkish speaking community’s commit to self-harm and suicides a lot more than other local and indigenous societies. These recent researches, along with real case stories were tackled under the project Eylem’s first meeting, which laid the foundations of the project in London. Eylem Project now is preparing to embrace the community in London by throwing a ball event at the one and only Cyprus Garden.
The evening will consist of a sit down dinner, with live music and presentations from the Eylem Team and guest speakers on what our community project will consist of; how they aim to move forward and how you can get involved, and most importantly raising awareness about mental health and the negative impact it can have on the Turkish speaking Community.

Tickets cost £20 – This includes a three course meal – hot and cold meze, main and dessert.
Drinks will need to be purchased from the bar.
A very small proportion of the proceeds from the ticket sales will be used to support the project moving forward!

Please note that due that the nature of our project (mental health) – what we will talk about on the night is a sensitive topic, therefore we politely ask that you refrain from bringing children under the age of 16 along on the night.
