The Kahramanmaraş Education and Culture Association, operating in London, has opened its new centre in the Stoke Newington area. The association, which has been active in the capital since 2018, celebrated the opening of its new centre with a grand ceremony.
In his opening speech, Association President Ali Kılınç thanked the attendees for their strong participation, emphasizing the importance of the association’s buildings in providing services.
The ceremony was attended by Turkey’s Consul General in London, Bekir Utku Atahan, London Religious Services Counselor Ensari Yentürk, Hackney Council Member Mete Çoban, President of the
Founder President Ali Kılınç stated that since its establishment, the association has aimed to bring together the Kahramanmaraş community in the UK to strengthen unity and support community development. Following last year’s major earthquake, the association has been noted for its social, cultural, and economic assistance to the regional population. The new two-story association building will continue to serve at “165 Stoke Newington Road, N16 8BT”.
Guests were served food and beverages prepared by the association members during the opening event.
