Enver Kannur, a partner and a licensed financial advisor at ADPL, was honoured with the title of City Freeman in 2020.
After being awarded the title he has now been awarded as a member of the Guild of Freemen of the City of London. During the certificate ceremony held on the evening of October 12th, Kannur was granted the right to become an official member of the Guild of Freemen of the City of London. Following the certificate ceremony, a celebratory dinner was organized.
The Guild of Freemen of the City of London is known as the fellowship of those holding the title of City Freeman. Guild membership is open to all free individuals, regardless of their affiliation with any specific trade guild. Established in 1908, the Guild’s purpose is to bring together individuals with the Freedom of the City for charitable work, education, assistance, and social activities. The annual publication, “The Freeman,” released every April, contains reports on past and future events.
The Guild has approximately two thousand members. Its activities include evening dinners in important City of London buildings, clubs, an annual banquet, and events conducted jointly with the Lord Mayor of the City of London.
