The Turkish Woman Philanthropic Association (TWPA) has announced they will be organising a dinner in dance in March for International women’s day the event will also be celebrating the association’s 50th year.
In a statement, they said: “This is an event we have been planning for several years, but because of the pandemic we have had to postpone it. The TWPA started over 50 years ago and we wanted to celebrate all the achievements and important work our great Turkish women in our community have done voluntarily for our community. We will be celebrating Turkish women both past and present…”
Adding “Over the years we have been so fortunate to have such great, pioneering and influential members in our community, true hero’s, that have made us great and we want to enlighten and inspire our younger generation to come forward and continue this work. The voice of the Turkish Community needs to be heard and we need to stand side by side as equals with other communities in England. There is still a way to go.”
The dinner and dance will be held on March 8th from 6-11pm at 113 Bruce Grove London N17 6UR. Tickets are £65 and more information can be found by emailing info@twpa.co.uk or calling 07786196157.
