The 5th ‘London Book Festival’ was held in London, with many writers, poets, theatre actors, filmmakers and painters also attending the festival.
On the final day of the event, Sunday, November 27 and panel was held, moderated by Mehmet Ali Alabora, Suat Eroğlu, Süreyya Akay, Kemal Sahir Gürel, Canan Aktaş, Dursaliye Şahan, Ali Poyraz, Fergül Yücel, Kamil Küpeli, Zöhre Ülger, Melisa Yıldırım, Hüseyin Kaplan, Günyol Bakoğlu, Pelin Markirt, Akın Names such as Olgun and Aydın Çubukçu attended as speakers. During the 10-day festival, Suna Alan and Sel-Trio performed a concert.
Aydın Çubukçu who participated on the last day of the festival was given an honorary award. In his presentation where Günyol Bakoğlu briefly talked about Çubukçu, he emphasized his contributions to literature, art and thought by saying, “Aydın Çubukçu, who prepared our 68, never mentioned himself.”
After the talk, Çubukçu was presented with the “Honorary Award” for his contributions to art, literature and life. Speaking after the award presented by Mehmet Ali Alabora and Fieldseat manager İrfan Şahin, Çubukçu said, “Sometimes these types of awards are given to those who have one foot in the hole and pee their back. Sometimes it is given to do something. I didn’t do much. After this award, I have to do something now” and thanked everyone who contributed to the event.
