Detectives have issued images of a man they want to speak to after a woman was seriously sexually assaulted in north London.
The victim, aged in her 30s, was on West Green Road, N15, in the early hours of Saturday, 25 June when she was approached by an unknown man. They walked to Houghton Road together before the victim was raped. The suspect then fled in the direction of West Green Road.
The offence was reported to police at 07:17hrs by a third party. Officers quickly attended and spoke with the victim.
The woman is being supported by specially trained officers.
Detective Constable Daniella Biggins, the investigating officer from the North Area’s Safeguarding Team is continuing to conduct a number of enquiries into the offence, including releasing CCTV images of a man she would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
DC Biggins, said:“This was a traumatic ordeal for the victim and we are doing everything we can do support her and bring the perpetrator to justice.
“We are very keen to speak to the man in the CCTV images we have released and we would ask anyone who can identify him to come forward. We believe he can help us with our enquiries into this offence and we wish to speak to him as a matter of urgency.”
