ON Tuesday (19 July) morning a fire broke out at Aksular Restaurant in Palmer’s Green, north London.
As part of the day-long response, 10 fire engines and around 70 firefighters tried to contain the fire in north London on the hottest day ever recorded in the UK.
According to the information reached by the Londra Gazete, the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
First response teams including firefighters, police and paramedics were at the scene to help tackle the blaze with has sadly left the well-known Turkish restaurant in north London in severe damage.
On Wednesday morning following the fire, the shutters of the restaurant were up and the large-scale damage could be seen. The restaurant which had undergone a refurbishment coming out of the pandemic unfortunately suffered serious damage due to this sad event.
An LFB spokesperson said on Tuesday afternoon: “The restaurant fire in Southgate is now under control. One woman was taken to hospital by @Ldn_Ambulance…”
