Protesters plan to once again take a stand in their fight against the expansion of the Incinerator in Edmonton, North London.
The waste-to-energy incinerator is run by the North London Waste Authority (NLWA), serves seven London local authorities, and is planning to expand to increase its capacity by 200,000 tonnes.
It sits in one of the poorest areas in the country, where 65% of the residents are from ethnic minority backgrounds and air pollution already breaches legal limits.
Protests have been taking place over the last few weeks, with Haringey residents protesting outside of councils meetings and groups like Doctors against Edmonton in Incinerator group protesting at Edmonton Green over the weekend.
Tomorrow (Thursday 9 December) protest will be gathering outside Enfiled Civic Centre at 5.45pm while a council hold a Climate Action Scrutiny Panel.
Members of the Turking Speaking Community in the borough have shared posts on social media calling for members to join the protests.
