THE Association of Turkish Women in Britain (BTKD) will be holding an online panel titled “Individual transformation for an environmentally conscious society” on Wednesday, June 30, at 19:30 UK time.
BTKD President Servet Hassan made the following statement: “Our world is getting polluted fast, our natural resources are getting less and less. With global warming, the balance of the world has been disturbed. From the air we breathe to the water we drink, from the soil that feeds us to our biodiversity, everything is at risk. Our world is sounding an alarm.
“One of the first things we can do individually in this regard is to have knowledge. Your contribution by attending our meeting to be held for this purpose and sharing our announcement with your friends and colleagues is very valuable.”
The guest speaker for the event will be Director and Environmental Engineer Prof Dr. Ayşegül Pala from the Dokuz Eylül University Environmental Research and Application Center talking about the protection of natural assets, sustainable environment, renewable energy, recycling and recovery and answer your questions on these issues.
