BTKD celebrated Mother’s Day and Eid online

THE Association of Turkish Women in Britain (BTKD) celebrated mother day and Eid (Şeker Bayram) together online.

With guest including Actress İnci Türkay and musician Hakan Bilal, together with its members and their families celebrated online, like many of their events over the past year.

BTKD Chair Servet Hassan said that they aimed to have a good time for the members and their families in the negative conditions of the pandemic period with the event they organized and congratulated the participants on the mother’s day and holiday.

Hassan remembered the members who lost their lives in this period, stated that even if they are celebrated in a distance, away from our loved ones, they do not lose the meaning of special days as long as they are celebrating together, and wished everyone a healthy, happy and prosperous holiday.

Actress İnci Türkay said that she is happy to live in London and will continue her studies as an educator. Touching on the importance of keeping our traditions and customs alive, İnci Türkay stated that even if she is abroad, she has the joy of feast and traditions in her home.

Although the members of the BTKD were not face to face, they expressed their joy in coming together for the online event, they wished to meet again on healthy days as soon as possible.
