17 deaths were recorded on March 21 from coronavirus in the UK.
Nearly 1.9 million people were tested for the virus of these 5,342 people have tested positive.
Just over 367,000 people were given their first shot of the vaccine yesterday and near 53,000 their second dosage
So far just under 28 million dosages of the first vaccine has been administered and nearly a 2.3million have had the second dosage in the UK.
The fall in deaths comes as the UK prepared to move out of lockdown next week.
But Boris Johnson has wanted that the third wave of covid in Eupore will affect the UK.
The PM said: “On the continent right now you can see, sadly, there is a third wave under way.
“And people in this country should be under no illusions that previous experience has taught us that when a wave hits our friends, I’m afraid it washes up on our shores as well.”
He added: “I expect we will feel those effects in due course. That’s why we’re getting on with our vaccination programme as fast as we can.”
Yesterday figures for Saturday 20 March showed six EU countries were in the top 10 for highest daily cases of coronavirus – all reporting over 10,000 cases.
France was in the highest position of all the EU country in 4th with 30,581 new cases, followed by Poland.
In 6th with 20,428 new daily cases, Turkey has seen figures more than double since March 1st when has 8,468 cases daily.
Turkey has announced no vaccine and no negative test will be needed for UK travellers when international travel is allowed.
However, with an increase in cases, this could put the country at risk of a travel ban if travel is allowed depending and based on the level of transmission.
