The Alevi Cultural Centre and Cemevi of England invites literature lovers to speal event with guest Burhan Sönmez.
The event will be facilitated by author Dursaliye Şahan, while Sönmez will provide information about his latest novel Franz K. Âşıkları at the event. Written in Kurdish and later translated into Turkish and many other languages, the work draws attention with its historical and political references as well as its literary aspect. Sönmez will be accompanied by author Semiha Durak throughout the talk.
The program will begin with presentations by Sevim Sönmez, Sevgi Sarıtaş, Rengin Akgün, Gül Ülgen, Fergül Yücel and Hatice Demir Kaya. Following the talk, participants will have the opportunity to meet the author one-on-one and have their books signed.
The event will be held on Tuesday, June 3 at 18:30 at the centre located at 19 Clarendon Road, London N8 0DD and participation is free.
