Celebrations for 19 May set to take place in London
London will host a special event to commemorate 19 Mayıs Atatürk’ü Anma, Gençlik ve Spor Bayramı (Atatürk Memorial, Youth and Sports Day), uniting schools, associations, and institutions in celebration.
Open to all parents and community members, the event will take place on Saturday, May 18th, 2025, from 12.30-2.30pm at the New River Stadium Sports Centre (N22 5QW).
Designed to bring together participants of all ages – especially children and youth, the event celebrates the holiday’s core message: the value of young people as the future of the nation.
The event is being organized through the joint efforts of the Turkish Embassy in London’s Education Counsellor’s Office, the Education Attaché of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) London Representation, the Turkish Community Football Federation, the Council of Turkish Cypriot Associations UK (CTCA), and the UK Turkish Language, Culture, and Education Consortium.
