Members of The Turkish Cypriot Youth and Family Association (KTGAB) came together with the TRNC London Representative officials.
KTGAB chair Nafiiya Horozoğlu and KTGAB’s deputy chair Ismayil Ibrahim met with TRNC London Representative Çimen Keskin, Education and Culture Attache Metin Harper and Media Attache Esra Emin.
The officials stated that they cared about the establishment of KTGAB, congratulating the young people members that formed the union, and promised to support the work of KTGAB as the TRNC London Representative.
Mentioning the aims of KTGAB, Horozoğlu made the following statement: “Crime rates are increasing rapidly, especially in London, and we do not feel safe. For this reason, we are constantly organizing activities that will attract the attention of our young people in order to keep them away from the streets. Our aim is to prevent the assimilation of our youth in England, to introduce our culture to our youth and to protect the Turkish Cypriot identity.
“We will do our best to strengthen our bond with our country. Various studies have been carried out and will continue in a more comprehensive way so that our young people are equipped about their culture and identities, get to know their culture and keep it alive.”
