Turkey remains on the red list, despite the country’s embassy in London telling Sky News earlier this week that it expected the nation to be moved to amber.
Travellers were hopeful the country, which has been red since May 12th would be moved to the amber list, with the Turkish embassy in the UK saying it was “confident” that there would be a change.
Instead, Britons entering the UK from Turkey will still be required to quarantine for ten days at a Government-approved hotel at a cost of more than £2,200.
