BORN and raised in the UK and originally a Turkish Cypriot, Deniz Eyeden Apaydanlı related his new song to his struggles in life also for the struggle for existence of Northern Cyprus.

Eyeden, who lives in Coventry, spoke to Londra Gazete about his new song. Stating this his passion for music started from a young age, Eyeden’s new song will be released on all music platforms on Friday, November 20 and the clip of the song will be released on Sunday, November 22.

Eyeden made the following statement in regards to his new song:

“This song that I wrote means so much to me, I’ve been through quite a lot this year and I don’t know what it is whether it’s a higher spirit guiding me or it’s just my mental toughness that got me through it but I genuinely believe that I have a heart of a lion. The song itself was a normal procedure, just mental therapy for me to get out all of the emotions that I was feeling at the time. The music video on the other hand and I want to say a big thank you to Taran and Nasa for bringing my idea to life, was a way for me to express my pain and mental toughness not only through my story but something that my ancestors had to endure as Cypriots living on the island of Cyprus. I wanted to pay homage to all of those that lost their lives in 1974 on the island and also shed light on what happened to everybody else in the world that follows me whether that be from Japan to Ireland to America to Australia. Even though I was born in the UK and even though I know the benefits of being born in this country and how it has made me the man I am today, I very much feel like a Turkish Cypriot man. My heritage is everything to me and if I can share just a fraction of my heritage in the art form that I know best, whilst still delivering great music to my fans then my job here is done.”
