VATAN CULTURE TURKISH Music Choir and Turkish Republic of North Cyprus Çağdaş Music Union’s Turkish Classical Music Choir have joined up in forming a new charity project.
Head of the Vatan Choir, Türkan Nalbantoğlu and Çağdaş Music Union Choir leader Ersin Tünay, has held a press conference in London explaining the ‘Charity Project’ they are going to produce.
Nalbantoğlu and Tünay said: “Both choirs will perform in a concert to raise money for ‘Turkish Cypriot Orthopedic Special Needs Union’ in Lefkosa, this coming December. The same concert will also take place in London, but this time in the early months of 2016.”
Ersin Tünay to take on supervising of Vatan Choir
Türkan Nalbantoğlu, also said: “The choir is now in its fourth year since being formed and we are very excited in preparing for new projects and work. This concert isn’t the only joint project we will be working on together.”
“At the same time Ersin Tünay, who is also a music teacher is to take on and continue with the management of Vatan Choir. We are going to work with one another and produce the same project together.”
Dreams are coming true
“In the new term, with our new chief we will be branching out to new heights.” said Türkan Nalbantoğlu. “We are working to experience Turkish music’s culture in another country and to deliver it to other. It was my ‘dream project’ for both choirs to come together and bring to life the London and Lefkosa project. I’m so happy for being able to make this happen”
A Fortunate and Example Project
Çağdaş Music Choir leader Ersin Tünay came to England a short time ago as a music teacher, she explained that they have taken on an arrangement in working together and said: “This is just a start. I hope that as two sister choirs we can create even better, successful projects together. We are going form a bridge of charity and support between England and North Cyprus.”
